Belgrad.

Dear Actors,

We thank those of you who helped our project already, who expressed interest, signed up and who contributed to our event being a creative success in 2019. We are working to create an exceptional new experience in 2020.

Your words, posts, films you made, blogs, photos, impressions, and love are the reason why we are working so hard to create a transformative experience again. We thank our Ensemble, Faculty and Students as well as our fabulous 2020 Creative Team for their work and love of theatre and acting.

We are thrilled that Mr. Ted Pugh, will be joining our faculty in Belgrade this year. Ted is a master teacher in the Michael Chekhov technique. He has had distinguished career on Broadway and in all the best regional theaters in the United States. He studied the technique directly with Oscar-winning actress Beatrice Straight who Michael Chekhov had personally authorized to teach it. He is a founding member of MICHA-the Michael Chekhov Association. He taught, many of today's Chekhov master teachers. We are very excited that our students in Belgrade will have an opportunity to work with him in 2020.

Fantastic Ms Gretchen Egolf and talented Ms Elena Kuzina will also be on our 2020 Faculty. In addition to these artists, our 2020 International Ensemble in Residence ( names /bios of our 2020 Ensemble members, can be found at ) will, both participate in the workshops as well as offer some events for our students. It is our wish to keep developing Ensemble in Residence Program, as in integral part of our Festival. We hope that this work will lay foundation for the future Production Theatre Festival. This year our Ensemble rehearsals, which will happen on March 26th, 27th and 28th, will be led by our teacher Ted Pugh. We are thrilled to receive his generous support and encouragement for our work.

Festival Program is in preparation and we will share it very soon. We are thrilled and humbled by continuous support we are receiving from artists and institutions in Belgrade, and we are happy about our newest partnership with National Theatre in Belgrade, where some of our events will be held.

If you have not had a chance to read our blog (we were happy to recently publish an essay by Lenard Petit.), where topics range from Chekhov technique to actual practice of Chekhov work. Our editor Peter Tedeschi has been doing an amazing job, sharing the work. We love to hear from you on our social media, Instagram and FB pages, thank you for all your love.

Those of you who signed up already will be receiving some questions from us and materials soon.

We are sorry, that some students experienced delays in response, and we had some minor technical issues with our website, we are working to resolve those. If you have any problem with registration or payment, please contact Mara at hello@chekhovfest.com

Please consider sharing this invite with some talented actors/directors who might be interested. More info we have on our website: chekhovfest.com. We are happy to answer any questions you might have.

Sincerely

Belgrade ChekhovFest Team 2020
